Who Is Jesus?

Who is Jesus Christ?

Chances are you have probably heard something about this man. Whether it was some televangelist on T.V., or you’ve grown up in the Church you’ve heard of Jesus Christ. Unfortunately people have many different ideas about who Christ was, and is. Given that there are so many differing representations of Christ sometimes it is confusing, and misleading for a person to understand who Christreally is.

Jesus Christ was a man born in a little town in the middle east some 2,000 years ago. That in and of itself is not that remarkable. However, what is remarkable is that this man was the Son of God. The creator of the universe, humanity, and all the inhabitants of this earth were created by Him. He was born into this world some 2,000 years ago for one purpose: to fix a big problem that we created when we first came into existence. Because of that problem mankind has been cursed, and destined to be forever in separation from our Creator. That is until Christ.

Jesus, being the Son of God, set out before this world was created to fix the problem we were going to create. He made a covenant with the Father, God, to give His life in exchange for ours. He promised to enter into this world in the flesh, and suffer the persecutions of this world all the while shedding light, and giving hope to all His children who lived in the bondage of sin. After He lived a perfect life, never once giving in to the temptations of this world, he was accused of wrongs He never committed, and put to death for crimes that were not his own, but ours.

If the story ended there it would be pretty hopeless. Thankfully it didn’t. You’ve probably heard this part as well. After being dead for 3 days, Christ, by the power of His Father, rose from the grave triumphing over the one thing that no man has ever been able to beat: death.

The amazing thing about this story isn’t just the wrongs committed, the miracle of God entering into this world, or the fact that He came back to life from being dead, but rather that He did all of this for you.

Now comes your part. Recognizing all that Christ did we invite you to come hear more about this Man, and His amazing story. It’s called the Gospel which means “good news”. We all need good news in this world we live in, and the Gospel is the answer.

Come and see.
