HARMONY HIGHLANDS SINGING SCHOOL, INC.

A PRIMITIVE BAPTIST FOUNDATION

FORMERLY ZION REST SINGING SCHOOL

JUNE 18th  – 23th  2006

GREETINGS, IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD, JESUS CHRIST, AND GOD, OUR FATHER.

Preparations are well underway for the 2006 session of Harmony Highlands Singing School.  Our singing school will be held again this year at the Walker County Baptist Association campground, which we have rented through the Walker County Baptist Association, located approximately 10 miles north of Jasper on Hwy. 5.  A map with directions is attached.  The campground has the necessary facilities for us.   It has a large air-conditioned Kitchen/Eating/Assembly Building, 2 air-conditioned dorms with bath facilities, hookups for RVs, and tent campsites.  There is an additional bathhouse close by.  The females will be housed in the large dorm, and the males will be housed in the small dorm. The children will be housed on a first come, first serve basis.  There are three large, covered pavilions for classrooms and several recreational facilities. We plan to use portable tent pavilions for additional classrooms as needed.  This is a very nice wooded campground and we feel it serves our needs well at this time.  This year we will end our session on Friday night.

This location allows us to all stay together at one place.  We also hope that in a more rural, natural setting we will gain an increased opportunity for fellowship as well as an increased feeling of God’s Spirit through the enjoyment of His creation.  We are very excited about our Singing School this year and hope it will be a great experience for everyone.

Zion Rest Primitive Baptist Church sends thanks to the students who have been to the school in the past years for their excellent, Godly conduct, conduct that proclaims to the world that Harmony Highlands is completely Christian in every respect.  The Lord has blessed us wondrously in past sessions.  Our students have observed the rules, and Harmony Highlands looks forward to this coming session with delightful anticipation of a group of people who are interested in the finer things of life. The Board of Trustees and the Staff of Harmony Highlands Singing School have laid down rules to insure that this Singing School will be conducted on the highest plane of Christian conduct.  The rules will be strictly enforced and inappropriate language and/or conduct will not be tolerated.

REGISTRATION FORMS ARE REQUESTED TO BE RETURNED BY MAIL NO LATER THAN May 27th.  Please understand that children will be accepted on a 1st come 1st serve basis.  We still have limited facilities.  It is very important that you return your forms as soon as possible.

Registration will begin on Sunday afternoon, June 18th, 2006.  All students should be at the camp no later than 5:00 p.m. on that day.  Sleeping quarters will be assigned at registration.  Anyone staying overnight (except maybe teachers) will be staying at this location.  A sandwich supper will be served for students and their guest in the dining area Sunday night.  The opening session will follow dinner in the assembly building.  Breakfast will be served Monday morning for all registered students and teachers.  A schedule of the meals will be posted.

There will be classes for each age group with competent teachers for each class.  The singing school will come to an end Friday night, June 23th, with closing services beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Everyone is welcome regardless of his or her religious affiliation.
